Comorbidities and its Effects on COVID-19 Patients Attribute Mortalities at CMH Attock

Objective: The aim of this Study was to assess the comorbidities in severe acute respiratory syndromecoronavirus (COVID-19) infected patients and risk underlying diseases more comparedto moderate or mild symptomatic patients.Study Design: Retrospective study.Place Duration Study: study conducted at isolated treatment facility ward COVID-19 ofCombined Military Hospital CMH, Attock, Pakistan from March 2020 October 2021.Materials Methods: comprised a total 389 confirmed positive cases out 1990reported which included 28 deaths due comorbid illnesses. Patients were divided two groups,onegroup having co-morbidities other group with no comorbidity.Results: There cases,including severely ill patients. Thedeaths mainly associated reported CMH Attockfrom 2021.Symptoms fever followed by cough, fatigue, dyspnea. most common hypertension diabetes, cardiovascular disease system.Conclusion: We assessed prevalence concluded thatunderlying diseases, including hypertension, system may be factors for death inmore on contrary moderately mildly patients.
